Having Problems Updating?

Some users have reported that they are unable to update the app when looking at the GHIN Mobile listing in the app store.  In order to force the update, tap on one of the images in the app store and then you will see the "Update" option.  

I already have the GHIN App.  How do I upgrade to Enhanced GPS?

The upgrade is available as an "in-app purchase."

Will I be able to try out the Enhanced GPS features before deciding to purchase?

Yes, each user will have both an 18-hole free trial as well as a nine-hole free trial.

Are both the standard and Enhanced GPS features available for all courses?

Nearly all U.S. courses and most international courses will have the standard GPS and course maps available; while most U.S. courses will have the enhanced green view features (e.g., approach heat map and putt break map).


If a user upgrades and decides they don't want the Enhanced GPS features, how do they request a refund?

If a user decides they do not want the Enhanced GPS upgrade after purchasing it, how they go about requesting a refund varies based on whether they are an iOS or Android user:

  • iPhone: App Store refunds are handled through Apple and require the user to request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. There is no way for GHIN Support to grant a user a refund, it is up to Apple to decide whether they will give the user a refund after they file a request.
  • Android: If it is less than 48 hours since the user made an in-app purchase, they can request a refund through Google Play; otherwise, they will need to reach out to GHIN Support.

How does a user cancel their annual subscription renewal?

The cancellation of an annual subscription renewal will require action from the user.

  • iPhone: Manage through "Apple ID Settings".
  • Android: Manage through "Google Account."


How does one best receive support regarding functionality or problems associated with GHIN Mobile GPS?
