The Associate Member Network was built to support clubs like yours!

An Associate Membership is a membership offered by the SCGA exclusively through scga.org that provides a GHIN number and golf club affiliation to golfers for $60*

The "Network" consists of partner SCGA Golf Clubs that choose to participate in the program by offering a “lower tier” Associate Membership (i.e. limited benefits) to their club at a specified rate ($60*)

The SCGA advertises to the Southern California golfing community and the golfer visits scga.org

Golfers in your area are assigned (or can select) a participating Associate Member Network club based on their zip code

Upon signup at scga.org, a golfer becomes a member of the Associate Member Network club and the SCGA sends the club $24

The selected Associate Member club must invite the Associate Member to at least 1 event and is responsible for oversight of the Associate's Handicap Index®.

This program is designed as a "lead magnet" to introduce your club to golfers in your area.  It's important to reach out personally and invite them to activities and events with their new fellow club members. 

Encourage the Associate to upgrade their membership to "full member" status with your group.  Note: The SCGA sends automated, pro-rated upgrade offers by email to each Associate 2x per year. 

$15,000+ Extra Revenue Per Year!  

The San Juan Hills Men's Club has 616 Full Club Members and adds approximately 600+ Associate Members to their roster each year. In addition to member upgrades that come from Associates, the club takes in approximately $15,000+ in additional AMN Revenue per year!

The club benefitted so much from the Associate Member Network program that they began making annual donations to the SCGA Junior Golf Foundation with some of the excess revenue!

EASY JOIN: Associate Members join your club quickly and easily online, and can even set their membership to auto-renew when it expires. 

AUTOMATED UPGRADE OFFERS: Your Associate Members receive automated communications offering a pro-rated upgrade to your golf club.

Since 2016, the SCGA Associate Member Network has grown by at least 20% every year, from 3,100 members in 2016 to 16,107 in 2022.  The program has proven extremely successful at attracting, engaging and converting (to full members) golfers for every participating AMN golf club.

Yes, the Associate Member is a member of your club and your club's Handicap Chair is resposible for oversight of their Handicap Index®.  Your Golf Nation's roster will make a distinction between Regular Members and Associate Members. 

Your Club/Handicap Chair is responsible for oversight of the member's Handicap Index®.  Your club is also required to open at least one (1) event to Associate Members and invite them to participate.  Ideally your club should reach out to Associates to make them feel welcome and to ensure that they understand the benefits of your club.  

Your club will always receive $24 for any Associated added to your roster.

The Associate Member is provided–by default–with the club closest to his or her zipcode.  The potential member can also use a dropdown at checkout to select any participating AMN club.
